Meditation Mondays – Safety & Participation Agreement
Host: Julia Henning (“HOST”)
Location: Private residence in Chicago, Illinois (“THE SPACE”)By registering for or attending Meditation Mondays, you (“PARTICIPANT”) acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Purpose & Intention
Meditation Mondays is a casual, community-based mindfulness event intended for relaxation, reflection, and personal well-being. The experience is educational and supportive in nature and is not a substitute for medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.
2. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
You understand that participation in meditation, breathwork, and stillness practices involves personal choice and may bring up physical, emotional, or mental responses. You agree to take full responsibility for your own health, safety, and comfort, and to participate only to the extent that feels right for you.
You acknowledge that you are entering and using THE SPACE voluntarily and at your own risk.
3. Respect for the Space
Please treat THE SPACE and other guests with respect and care. This includes mindfulness around shared areas, personal belongings, volume levels, and general conduct. The building is home to others; respect for neighbors is essential.
4. Personal Property
HOST is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings brought into THE SPACE. Please keep valuables with you at all times.
5. Release of Liability
By attending, you release and hold harmless Julia Henning, her agents, employees, and property from any and all liability, claims, demands, or actions arising out of participation in Meditation Mondays or use of THE SPACE, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or emotional distress, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
6. Medical & Emergency Care
You certify that you are physically able to participate in light meditative or mindfulness activities. In the unlikely event of an emergency, you consent to receive reasonable medical care deemed necessary.
7. Confidentiality & Conduct
This is a shared space for reflection and openness. Participants agree to maintain confidentiality about what others share and to engage with kindness, respect, and non-judgment.
8. Photography & Media
Occasional photos or videos may be taken for community or promotional purposes. By attending, you grant permission for your likeness to appear in such media, unless you notify HOST otherwise before the event begins.
9. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved within its jurisdiction.
10. Acknowledgment
By signing below (or by registering electronically), you confirm that you have read and understood this Agreement, are voluntarily participating, and agree to release the HOST from all liability as stated above.
Meditation Mondays are a community-centered gathering that invites you to start the week in ease, presence, and connection. This is a cozy in-person ritual designed to help you reset, realign, and reconnect with yourself before the noise of the week begins. Think of this as your antidote for the Sunday Scaries.

Here, mindfulness isn’t a trend; it’s a practice of returning to what matters. Together, we explore how to integrate the weekend and greet the week with a softer nervous system, a steadier heart, and an open mind.
Each evening centers around a simple theme, an idea to hold onto for the week ahead. Through mindful reflection, breath awareness, somatic integration, and guided meditation, we create a space for stillness, release, and intention.
This is your permission slip to begin differently.
To start the week grounded, not gasping.
To remember that ease isn’t indulgent, it’s intelligent.
Whether you’re looking to build consistency in your practice or simply crave a moment of quiet, you’re invited to join us. Bring your comfy clothes, your curiosity, and a willingness to slow down.

Bring: Yourself and a friend, comfy clothes, water, and a journal if you’d like
Cost: Donation (not required)
